The Epic Legacy Core Rulebook PDF is available now!
Are you ready to embark on Epic level 5th Edition adventures? We certainly are. The Epic Legacy Core Rulebook is available for download in PDF through Backerkit. After more than two years of development and your support, we're excited to bring the vision to life. We appreciate folk's patience on this project, as we had to take the time to make sure we got everything right. And to be honest, it feels like we really did.

Printing & Shipping
For those that ordered a hardcover, you will need to wait a couple weeks to get your physical copies. This is because we have to review printed copies and make sure everything is in order. The last thing we want is for there to be formatting/color incompatibility in your copy, so once that is complete your book will be in the mail!
To ship a majority of our books purchased through Kickstarter, we are printing them in your region and sending them your way by way of a local 3PL companies. Unfortunately, this means the process will take slightly longer (into November) as we coordinate with various companies regionally to make this happen. If you'd rather not wait that long and don't mind paying the difference for regular shipping, we can adjust your order and send it your way ASAP. Let us know via Kickstarter message.
Notes on Corrections: If you've found something we've missed - whether a character reference, a formatting slip-up, or mechanical loophole - please let us know via Kickstarter! We are making light adjustments over the next few weeks before printing to add one more polish pass before the hard copies come out, and will be releasing the very lightly adjusted PDF again at that time.

Book Release Schedule: PDF - Hardcover
Epic level advancement is almost here!
Epic power is almost in your hands! We've been pouring over the hundreds of pages with a fine toothed comb before final release, and we are proud to say its looking fantastic. The release schedule for the book will be the PDF first (within the next 4-6 weeks), followed by the Hardcover prints about a month after that. The last thing we want is to have a printed book that isn't up quality standards once it gets in your hands. So if you grabbed the PDF and print, don't worry, the hardcover will be on its way soon!
So What Are We Working On
The first complete draft of Epic Legacy is well past complete, and we're into the review, revision and copy-editing process as of today. Our art is also entering its final stages, and we are contacting backers who haven't submitted their reward info one last time to see if we can squeeze them in.
An ultiate backer reward: Legacy of Wrath, a relic
In the meantime, we will be putting final touches on art and formatting. We will be spending these next few weeks sharing page promos and fully formatted previews via this update system so you can see the final pieces move into place before your very eyes. Check out some of our samples! This is a personal favorite of mine from the DM's section of the book.

The Launch Livestream
If you remember our round table Kickstarter Livestream that we ran a few months back to talk about the latest Playable Build, then you know Ryan likes to talk a lot about Epic Legacy. On the night the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook launchers, Ryan will run a Livestream event during which he talks about each chapter of the book and reads through the content with the community. Coming in Hot!
Whew! As development of the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the amazing journey this project has gone through to get to this point. From where this project started in 2016 as a pipe dream that we worked on in our spare time to a fully fledged hard cover piece with thousands of hours of work put into it, this project is a testament to your generous support and critical eye toward the content. Here are our major updates on the project between now and launch!
Writing Updates
The writing for the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook is nearly finished The final page count of the book is significant. The book itself is gonna be extra thick, at over 400 pages (As a basis of comparison, the 5E DMG is 314). Quite a bit larger than originally predicted. While we imagine this is considered a good thing by many of you (more bang for your buck), it is an unintended aspect of development that you deserve to know about.
The book final design of the book consists of 8 chapters, the contents of which is as follows.
A finalized art piece by Ambrose, showcasing the benefits of the Giver of Life Epic feat.
Introduction
Chapter 1: Epic Characters: Including Epic Paradigms, roleplaying details, and more.
Chapter 2: Epic Prestige Classes: As outlined in the latest build of Epic Legacy (Version 1.2.8 PDF Link), the Epic prestige classes are feature here.
Chapter 3: Character Customization Options: Including Epic feats and 3 different multiclassing variants.
Chapter 4: Epic Magic: Rules for Epic magic and lists of Epic spells.
Chapter 5: Epic Game Mastering: Suggestions for creating and running an Epic game/campaign. Includes Treasure section, which contains Epic rituals and Relics
Chapter 6: Epic Encounters: For DM's, rules and details on building quality encounters to rock your player's worlds.
Chapter 7: Epic Relics: 20 world shattering relics of awesome quality and power, guaranteed to give your game a sense of scale and story.
Chapter 8: Mythic Foes: The big bads of Epic Legacy. These enemies will serve as both monsters you can use, along with inspiration to design your own. Includes rules and suggestions on how to build your own.

Playtest Results
As you know, much of the content in Epic Legacy has undergone extensive testing, so what you will see in the final product is the result of a ton of community feedback, criticism, and experimentation. Community development on Epic Legacy has ended as it moves to its final playable build. Hundreds of backers and players have given their thoughts on the design and balance of Epic Legacy over the years, and we believe the final project is going to be one of incredible quality due to this effort. Your contributions were invaluable toward Epic Legacy's development, and we got the chance to know many of you through this process, which was a delight.
Project Delay Explanation
Don't worry! Its only about a 1 month delay, but you deserve to know why. We apologize for the delay, but we believe it is necessary to both be fair to your pledges and the integrity of our vision. The reasons are two fold.
2CGaming is a small team with only a handful of dedicated employees. This means we contract out a lot of the work we cannot do ourselves (mainly copy editing, art, and formatting) to others. While we take great efforts to get quality contractors, their schedules are not always perfectly compatible with ours (and rush fees can be very expensive). This has caused a delay in the project on that end, but we are able to get the highest quality results in the process.
The book's increased size is a cost we have to absorb, which takes a little extra effort on everyone's part to make up the difference. While not a tremendous problem, it has increased the development time of some aspects of the book.
One Last Thing Backers!
Working on custom backer rewards has been a delight, but with so many of you we want to make sure you know how to best enjoy them! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about your rewards, I would like to hear and best answer them while there is still time to make any last minute changes. I want to accommodate your vision for the book as much as possible, so please don't hesitate to reach out via Kickstarter message or Discord.

We promised we'd be back soon with another update, so here it is!
Epic Legacy Playable Build 1.2 Available Now
If you've been following development closely, you know that one of our first priorities was making sure that the content we are producing for Epic Legacy still feels balanced and fun. To that end, we have overhauled most of the "crunch" aspects of the game (numbers, combat mechanics, and class features) to produce Epic Legacy Build 1.2! This build is based on over a year and a half of feedback and playtesting, and is one step away from 1.3, the full release build. If you downloaded the Epic Legacy Player's Guide, this new document is a total rework of nearly everything featured there, including advancement from 21st - 30th level for all core classes and subclasses, Epic Feats, and Epic Spells! Basically everything you need to create an Epic character.
New Epic spells in 1.2! Unleash your titanic wrath.
Fun Facts: This document is over 70k words and 200 pages, almost half of all the content in the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook will be the finalized version of this content. Additionaly, this document is living! That means every Friday from now to when we send the book to print, I will be updating the PDF with balance changes and features based on testing. Watch your feedback affect the development of the project in *nearly* real time!
We need you to provide feedback on this content! We are currently running playtests and testing various aspects of the game via Roll20 and our Discord server, and the community has already had a tremendous impact on the design process. We want you to be a part of this process, so please join us in the 2CGaming Discord Server to share your thoughts!
Epic Roleplaying/1.2 Livestream
We are trying something different that we are looking forward to. Hey there Epic Legacy supporters! We are hard at work on the book and are on target for our release date in June. However, we have some updates on the content being produced that we'd like to share with you, including work being done on our end to fulfill backer rewards for high tier pledges.

If you are itching to play a game of Epic Legacy, fear not! We are in the final stages of making the latest build of Epic Legacy (version 1.2) available for testing and feedback. We are exceptionally pleased with how the build has turned out thusfar and are extremely confident that we are hitting our design goals for the player side of Epic Legacy. However, we will still need your feedback and will provide an update when it becomes available for how you can improve the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook design process with your opinions and insights.
