Major Playable Content Update Incoming! Build 1.2

If you have been hanging around our Discord Server, you know that we were planning to release a HUGE piece of content at the end of February for you all; a completely playable build of Epic Legacy Build 1.2! While the build is getting a slight delay due to a few complications in the pipeline, we are planning to release this awesome piece of content to you early to mid march via our website (Don't worry, as soon as it happens all our media will be blasting max volume about its launch so you won't miss it). This content is incredibly significant for the project and it has huge implications for you as an Epic Legacy backer.

• Changes Changes Changes. Build 1.2 is HUGE. It contains roughly 85% of all the player focused content that will be in the final product. The major focus of this piece is twofold.
• 1. Update ALL content that was once in the Epic Legacy Player's Guide. We took detailed notes and played hundreds of hours of Epic Legacy games over the past year and a half, and this new build contains hundreds of changes and designs based on our experiences (and the helpful suggestions of our players and backers). This means this will build will be the most balanced, refined version to date.
• 2. Test It All. It may shock to know that this is NOT the final playable version. The goal of this content update is to share with you the direction we are moving with a ton of player focused content. This gives you the opportunity to provide feedback on what you are seeing being created before it goes to print.

Testing You Say?

We do say! In fact, we want you to test this content so badly we are creating several scenarios as a part of 1.2 that you can use to build and test characters against. The feedback we receive from these tests will be essential for creating a awesome final product.

Additionally, there will be a schedule of games I will be running to test this new content that anyone can join! If you wanna play in a game hosted by 2CGaming, consult the schedule and see what times work for you. We are going to running a huge variety of scenarios in these tests, including boss fights against Mythic foes, gauntlets of brutal challenges, and character building sessions. Also expect live chats via discord where you can give your feedback directly to the development team in a round table discussion about the various changes. On a personal note, I am looking forward to the change to get to know many of you over this period and am excited to get your feedback on all the work we have done thus far.

Community Growth

It is important to note that Build 1.2 is going to be a public document that anyone can download. This means that we may see a large influx of Epic Legacy players and DMs that are interested in checking out this project. Be sure to share your experiences, thoughts, and concerns with them as we take this next step together. The more people provide feedback on this project, the better we can make it. We hope that making it publicly available will help you put your own games together and share this content easily with those you wish to play with.

Whats Going On In the Workshop?

Hello backers!

We are pleased to inform you that development of the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook is ahead of schedule! But with that good news comes even more good news! Do you like having design input? Do you like play testing content? Then check this out:

By February 22nd, I plan to have Epic Legacy Build Version 1.2 (based upon content created via the Epic Legacy Player's Guide) finished and available for feedback! This piece of content will include the progression for all major Epic Level Prestige Classes revamped, re-balanced, and in some cases, totally redesigned. Expect some Epic spell and Epic feat content updates as well. While this will not be the final version before release, it will be the one where most major changes and design choices will be made, with subsequent changes being focused on exploits, wording issues, and formatting.

What Does This Mean For You?

By joining the 2CGaming Discord server, you can participate in both play tests and give direct feedback about the design options. If you have a favorite class or something you would really like to see become part of the game, this will be your best chance to give that input. Think of it like a public Beta before the content becomes locked in.

Relic Design Contest Winners!

After a review process, our winners for the Relic Design Contest have been chosen via voting by the 2CGaming dev team! Thank you to all who submitted awesome pieces! I wish we had enough room for everyone's, they blew us away with their creativity and design. The winning items were:

The Sin of the All Father: A mysterious shield detailing the history of an ancient forgotten race that is a source of great shame to the dwarven people. Its power is difficult to attain, requiring a moral dilemma of great consequence that does not come without its own risk.

The Skull of Zek'hama: Pulled from Hell itself, this mask confers awesome infernal power. However, its use associates you with fiendish agents, entwining you within their plots and schemes. Unlocking its full power will requires as much guile and strength as you can muster, the rewards well worth the effort.

Congratulations to our winners! We will be reaching out to you directly to coordinate a meeting to discuss design elements and changes that need to be made to the items. Thanks again to all participants! Once completed, the Relics will be posted in their final form so you folks can see how the community contributions turned out!

The Epic Legacy Player's Guide and You

Many of you have been asking about how you will get your copy of the Epic Legacy Player's Guide, so here is the details about how to do so!

Before you claim your reward, there are some important things I'd like to go over with you:

Please Note: We require about one week from today to confirm payment methods through Backerkit, at which point digital downloads become available. You WILL NOT be able to get any digital downloads until that time is passed. We apologize for the delay.

• 1. This product is intended for you to get started with the Epic Legacy system and focuses almost exclusively on player related content. We want to make sure you can run games with your friends and have epic experiences  ASAP. You can find FREE expanded content for this product along here (CLICK ME), along with several mini-adventurers we produced on the Dungeon Master's Guilds for those looking for a structured introductory experience. • 2. The Epic Legacy Player's Guide is a playable proof of concept of the Epic Legacy system for 5th Edition. The content therein is NOT representative of the quality of the final product. We specifically made this piece as a PDF only because we felt it did not meet our quality standards for a hardcover.
• 3. Content in the Epic Legacy Player's Guide is subject to significant re-balance and change as it is integrated into the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook. If, after reading through the Epic Legacy Player's Guide, you have strong opinions about changes or elements of the content you would like to see in the final product, our Discord Server is the best way to speak with us directly. While using our aforementioned Backerkit service, you use your backer survey "Digital Downloads" section, which gives you access to any digital downloads you acquired through Backerkit purchases (or in this case, by supporting the Kickstarter by default). High Tier Rewards and How to Claim Them.

Did you back at a Tell your Tale Tier or higher for specific custom rewards? Good news! We will reach out to you through the Kickstarter Survey by December 22nd for details about your reward and how it will be integrated into the book! 

After that survey, we will determine if additional information is needed to deliver on your piece. This may involve scheduling a call with us to discuss design options and to ensure we get your vision exactly right. Our projected date for having these calls scheduled will be by December 31st.

The first round of calls should be completed no later than January 12. There will be follow up conversations as needed beyond that point. We are looking forward to working with many of you to create some epic-ly awesome rewards!

Campaign Concluded

Its over! Give yourselves a pat on the back because I can't reach that far. We raise our glasses to you, mighty backers. You have blown away any expectations we had for this project and we will honor your enthusiasm the best way we know how. By writing a KICKASS book that will blow your game table away. So grab your dice and set the date, 'cause in June of 2018 you will receive an Epic tome backed with everything we set out to create plus these awesome stretch goals YOU unlocked.

 What is Next?

Work on the project will begin on Monday after a much needed day of rest. As the project develops you can use the following materials to keep up on the progress is being made.

• 1: Keep your eye on the Kickstarter Page. We plan on posting monthly updates here so that you can keep up with the latest news, view art previews, and offer feedback.
• 2: If you are interested in testing content or having conversations with the developers, you should consider joining our Discord Server. There, you can play in Epic Legacy games, chat with us, and get firsthand previews of incoming content as it's being made!
• 3. High Tier Backers. We will be reaching out to you for your rewards soon! Expect messages from us so we can get to work on your rewards right away!

Backerkit and Post Kickstarter Options

For those of your who haven't used Backerkit, it's a pledge manager tool that helps us coordinate shipping, additional orders, helpdesk activities, and more. In two weeks, our Backerkit options will become available.

Through Backerkit, you'll be able to still gain the benefits of the various available reward tiers until the project meets its delivery date. So if you have an eye on a specific item, this is a great way to pick it up (especially if you missed the campaign). However, funds raised through backerkit WILL NOT contribute to further stretch goals.

PLEASE NOTE: Backerkit will show $20 shipping *until* you enter your location, at which point it should adjust to the correct amount. Contact us with any issues.

Based on your pledge reward tier, you'll have options to pick from regarding The Epic Legacy Core Rulebook. If you don't see the options you think you should, something has gone wrong! Let us know and we'll sort it out.

Final 48 Hours! Latest Stretch Goal Unlocked and Hastur the King in Yellow.

Bringing it home and latest stretch goal unlocked!

Who would have thought when we launched this project we would end up here today? You all have been so amazing throughout this project. I have gotten to know many of you personally. Your feedback and support have been inspiring as this project moves into development and writing. Speaking of which!

We just hit our next stretch goal at $18,500! If we manage to reach 20k, we will unlock the FINAL stretch goal we set out to reach for this Kickstarter, an Epic achievement indeed!

We have a list of additional stretch goals we will introduce as well (those of you in the Discord chat may be familiar) if we get to that point. The last few days of a Kickstarter are some of the most exciting as supporters from all over come in to make last minute pledges. If you have friends or fellow gamers who you think would be interested in this project now is the time to share it with them!
