Work for the work gods!

We have amazing news on several fronts. We had an amazing experience at PAX Unplugged. We blew through another stretch goal this weekend and.....we are opening up a DESIGN CONTEST that could a fantastical creation of your designed featured in the book!

Show us your design, it may get published!

We love the work our community and fans have put into Epic Legacy and this Kickstarter, so we wanted to give a little something back. This contest grants you the unique opportunity to have a piece of Epic content of your design featured in the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook right next to our own works. For this contest, you will need to design an Epic Relic (a extraordinarily powerful item for use in Epic level play) and submit it via this form available here: Click me to learn about the Design Contest. You can find the details of how to design a Relic, along with examples of ones we have built there as well for reference.

The winner will receive the following prizes!

• Their visionary Relic fully illustrated, professionally formatted, and featured alongside others of its kind in the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook.
• Exclusive design sessions with the 2CGaming Team to develop and polish your Relic so it shines as brightly as it can.
• Writing contributor credit in the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook.

New Stretch Goal Unlocked!

As this weekend comes to a close, its with great pleasure we can announce the successful funding of a second stretch goal!

 With this newest feature we can develop one of our favorite elements of Dungeons and Dragons - The Monsters. You can expect these bad boys to be incredible in scope and power, able to lay waste to foolish Epic adventuring parties who dare underestimate their might. Adding to the collection of monsters already slated to be in the book, this will make the section more robust and fearsome for players and Dungeons Masters alike.

Only a few days left....

Many of you are hungry for more Epic content, so we are making one last EPIC (get it?) push to bring in as many backers as possible. If ever there was a time to spread the word about this campaign amongst your fellow RPGers, now is the time! Our noses are to the grindstone as we bring this campaign to an awesome conclusion. What awaits upon the astral sea?

Ready to run by any aspiring Epic Dungeon Master, this short adventure pits a team of level 26 players against the horror and trials of the Jade Maelstrom, a powerful storm raging upon the Astral Plane.

Thankfully your players will have the assistance of a swarthy crew of dragonborn sailors and their fearsome Spelljammer, The Thunderweaver as you seek out the legendary interplanar pirate, Davy Jones. Along they way you will encounter fearsome monsters, such as the terrifying Astral Dreadnought that threaten to bring your tale to a grisly end.

Should you succeed at your task and finally face Davy Jones, you will have to contend with his unrivaled martial skill and the unholy power of a mysterious entity who will aid him in combat. Best of luck adventurers, you will need it.

Fully Funded in 7 Days!

Amazing. After one week, the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook is moving into production. We had high hopes for this project, but you all have blown us away with your support for this project. Here is hoping to unlocking some of those awesome stretch goals to increase the epicness of the book by orders of magnitude.

What does this mean for you?

Stretch Goals on the Horizon! Our first stretch goal is a Roleplaying Expansion and integration with Wizard's of the Coast's newest book; Xanathar's Guide to Everything! If we raise $2000 beyond the funding goal, we'll be able to flesh out a huge array of character options for all types of gameplay (We are talking 25 PAGES worth!), increasing the length of the book to over 200 pages! We have even more exciting and epic stretch goals to look forward to once we have achieved this goal.

 Expanding the Project

We want to take this project to its maximum potential, but we cannot do so without your help! Now that we have achieved funding, the project will recieve increased priority from Kickstarter on its listed projects, and the appeal to back a successfully funded project is high. However, every little bit helps. If you have not seen our Thunderclap Campaign to share the word about this project across the internet, its a great way to help the campaign without needing to contribute any financial support. We are also speaking to various online media sources for interviews, articles, and promotions to make sure that the book we put in your hands is the best it can be.

PAX Unplugged

Epic Legacy will be front and center at PAX Unplugged next week, and we expect to see a lot of eyes on the project as we run events, share the Kickstarter, and promote the system. This is 2CGaming's biggest showing ever at an convention, so our hope is it will be a tremendous boon to the project.

First Stretch Goal Unlocked! Xanathar's Guide to Everything Support and Roleplay Expansion!

Looks like this Kickstarter just leveled up as we hit our first stretch goal! You folks continue to blow me away with the continued support and enthusiasm for this project, and your reward is 25 PAGES of additional content. Another round of heartfelt thanks from us to you is due, especially considering we have 18 DAYS REMAINING! We aren't even halfway done! But you are here for stretch goal details, so let's hit it!

Xanathar's Guide Support

So you may have heard, Wizards of the Coast's newest 5th Edition supplement, Xanathar's Guide to Everything has arrived. With this stretch goal unlocked, we can begin to develop Epic advancement for EVERY subclass introduced by Xanathar's Guide. Look forward to your favorite new subclass getting a host of new Epic features that will grant you even more powerful and diverse styles of play. I often discuss and spitball ideas for these types of things in our Discord, so if you are curious about the development of this particular aspect of the project, I would highly recommend checking it out (Click to join 2CGaming's Discord).

Epic Roleplaying Expansion

One of our favorite parts of Epic Legacy is the ability to craft grand characters. Beings at this level of power are trend setters, legendary leaders, apocalyptic villains, and living saints. We want to make sure that when you roll and Epic level character, you get more than powerful new combat mechanics, you get the ability to create these complex and significant characters easily and effectively. With this stretch goal unlocked, we will be delivering to you a fantastic array of tools and systems for expanding upon the traditional character Background (including Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws) by adding selections of Epic character story options. Some cool ideas we have been working on include things like Epic Destinies, Epic Character Paradigms, and Epic Trials (More details to come as we begin developing these concepts).

Whats Next?

Monsters! Specifically, our next stretch goal will grant you access to 6 additional Mythic Foes to the books roster. These creatures are more than just enemies to fight. They represent forces that only Epic characters could face in battle (and even then, victory is far from guaranteed), often when the stakes are highest and the situation dire. The importance of these foes cannot be overstated. With such power, these creatures can be used in your campaign in a variety of ways. They serve as excellent leveling benchmarks, staggeringly difficult boss fights, terrifying storytelling tools, and world building plot points. If you are curious what a foe of such power looks like, check out our favorite mythic dragon, Ultraxus the Dragon Tyrant!

An Auspicious Beginning!

After just a few days, we are almost fully funded. You all are absolutely fantastic, and we have high hopes for this project in the days ahead. Meeting some of this project's stretch goals would be phenomenal, so we are continuing to promote, share, and talk about Epic Legacy at every opportunity. However, we can always use your help in spreading the word. 

Play Epic Legacy with us!

Interested in playing in some Epic Legacy Games this month? So are we! We've setup the following game opportunities for you to jump in and get to adventuring. Players of all stripes and backgrounds are welcome to join (however group size per event is capped at 7 players). All the games are run through Roll20 and our Discord, so you will need to utilize both in order to play effectively.

The schedule for games from now until the end of the project is as follows:

• Friday November 10th and 24th at 7 PM PST: We will be running one of our free short adventurers: The Frostpine Horror, Trouble in Paradise, or Voyage on Astral Seas. Details about playing in these games will be available in Discord and you can always PM one of us there for details.

Sunday November 12th and 26th at 12 PM PST. We will be running our ongoing Adventure Path series, Shadows of Destiny, which is an experimental Epic adventure path that has been around for several months. Characters in these games are fully fleshed out, with backstories and roleplaying, adventuring through an overarching Epic tale.

Sunday November 12 and 26th at 7 PM PST. Epic one shots! These games will allow a team of players to engage in Epic battle against a different Mythic Foe each night. Fun and unique, players in these games will get to try their hands against unique and powerful enemies we are keeping behind the curtain. 

Note: There are no games the weekend of the 18th - 20th due to our showing at PAX Unplugged. If you're attending, stop by the booth! We'll be running Epic Legacy games at the convention where you'll have a chance to fight against a Mythic version of a familiar, demonic foe...

Kickstarter Update Schedule

We have two major content updates for you to look forward to over the course of this Kickstarter, the details of which we are excited to share with you!

Firstly; We will be releasing our third Epic Legacy adventure in our series, Voyage on Astral Seas, on November 15! We hope you have as much fun running it as we did making it.This 26th level adventure will pit you against the villainous Davy Jones and his dreaded Spelljammer, the Mourning Star. Can your party survive conflict with him upon the Astral Plane? My money is on no, but I've been wrong before....

Secondly; Look upon his visage and despair mortals, for Hastur, our first Mythic Foe for 30th level characters will be released on Thanksgiving Weekend (November 25). Fully formatted and packing deadly abilities from top to bottom, the King in Yellow will lay waste to your party if you dare underestimate him. A preview of what to expect from your Mythic Foe section of the Epic Legacy Core Rulebook, Hastur will be your first taste of what hope will be many more to come!
